MR.VUYMIN'S ART EXHIBITION IN THE DOCUMENTATION CENTRE OF THE NATIONAL PARK «SMOLENSK LAKE DISTRICT»

04.08.2006, Fri
Przhevalskoye is a picturesque and rich by paints land. It is full of new original ideas. No wonder right village Przhevalskoye is closely connected with the names of well-known artists, such as Arthur Vuymin, Konstantin Kuzkin, Oleg Kolchin, Arkady Gepp. Every of them found himself in his own area of arts.
Mr. Arthur Vuymin (born 28th January 1956 at Przhevalskoye) found himself in painting. He prefers landscape and still-life. He has been fond of arts since childhood. After soldiering he was accepted at the Faculty of Arts of Smolensk Teacher-Training Institute (today, Smolensk State University). He graduated in 1982. Great time he devoted to teaching. First, he was a teacher in the School of Przhevalskoye, and then, in the Branch of Demidov Art School at Przhevalskoye. But official work most probably hindered the artist than inspired him. «A free artist since 2001» is printed in the annotation to his exhibition.
Mr. Vuymin is a participant of many area's and region's exhibitions. This summer, his paintings may be seen at the visit-center of the National Park at Przhevalskoye. The only defect of the exhibition, at my glance, is in few ammount of the pictures. Apparantly, little area of the show-room impeded to place more canvases and this can't help grieving us. The exhibition is worth being attended. I'm not an artists' critic of know a little about arts. But maybe just this helps my heart, not seduced by masterpieces of the brush, to unreservedly admit the coherent for everyone art.
